Chastity’s Chess Challenge Album

https://chastitywhiterose.bandcamp.com/album/chastitys-chess-challenge

I published an album containing 8 songs about the game of chess made with AI by descriptions I wrote. These are meant to provide the first example of actual music based on chess. This album will also be used to promote my brand, Chastity’s Chess Challenge

There is actually a lack of good chess music on the internet because musicians are usually not extreme chess nerds at the same time. When they do mention chess, it is part of a love song about navigating a complicated relationship like a game of chess. Unfortunately, these artists insult the game of chess by giving the vibe that chess is complicated. It certainly can be, but it can also be very easy to learn the rules if you are taught right.

Chastity’s Chess Challenge

Other than the “bishops slide sideways” (whatever that means), this song is pretty accurate to the game of chess. Obviously, the Chastity in this song refers to me, Chastity White Rose.

At least some of the songs must be about me because I am trying to promote myself as a chess coach. It’s also important because then nobody else can try to claim copyright for this. AI generated the music and vocals but I am the copyright owner because I had to write the descriptions of what kind of songs I wanted.

Chess for All

This song is about how chess is for everyone. The lyrics are 100% accurate to the vision I have for my chess teaching business. It doesn’t matter if you are black/white, rich/poor, male/female, or gay/straight. The game does not discriminate and you have a chance to win in chess even if you can’t win in any other area of life!

Checkmate Heart

This song was the first song I ever asked AI to make. I was impressed with how it turned out. I like that it’s called Checkmate Heart. I fell in love with this game because I saw the potential it has to be the sport that people talk about at social events instead of football!

The Chessboard Wonders

This song is about people who might be silent themselves or enjoy the silence of the game of chess. In a world of overstimulation, some autistic people can get overloaded quite easily. I know I am certainly this way as an autistic person.

People say chess is complicated, but have you ever sacked groceries at Hy-Vee around screaming children and rude customers who want to yell at you for being slow while you are trying to strategize the right way not to crush their bread and eggs and keep their meats separate from the vegetables to prevent cross contamination?

I don’t know about you, but I prefer the quiet game of chess. The game itself is quiet, but my music is something you can listen to while playing if you wish!

Checkmate in Shadows

This song reminds us that chess is still a battlefield of the mind and that sometimes, our minds can betray us as our mistakes cause us to lose the game.

Shogi Checkmate Heart

I found it rather difficult to get an accurate song about Shogi, but this game is also called Japanese chess. I like what it says about playing against the “mind of steel” because I play against the AI to improve the game.

American Shogi

Although Shogi is known as Japanese chess and is the most popular game in Japan, it doesn’t mean that Americans like me can’t play it. For this reason, this song will forever exist to remind people that the game is for them, too, even if they aren’t Japanese!

Darkness and Light

This last song is the 8th and final track in this album as a tribute to the chessboard having 8 rows and 8 columns. However, none of the lyrics are about the game of chess!

You see, this song is a love story between darkness and light. Many years ago, I wrote the following poem:

Hikari and Yami Love Poem

I’ll tell you a story, both black and white. Of darkness who loved the light.
And light loved the darkness, but when the light came near, the darkness would disappear.

H: Why do you run when I appear? What is it that you fear?

Y: I have no fear it’s just the way. I rule the night, and you rule the day.

H: I want you with me in the day. There must be something to make you stay.

Y: I cannot stay, it is a rule. Whoever made it is a fool.

H: This makes me sad and want to cry, I won’t give up till we die.

Y: Do not cry, only shine. For I am yours, and you are mine.

H: For you, I’ll shine, and nature rewrite so that darkness can coexist with light.

Y: Shine brightly, Hikari, for in the night, the smallest candle gives those who are lost sight.

H: And you, my Yami, stay as black as you are and know that I am never far.

This song reminds us that light and darkness are not enemies, except in the game of chess where when they must battle. But then again, don’t even lovers fight sometimes?

Maybe the game of chess is light and darkness trying to checkmate each other and finally catch up to each other so that they can be together. As I play the game of chess, I remember that light and darkness are the perfect lovers because they are equal and opposite forces.
